My Story
Welcome to Raul Lanuza Bespoke Cigars by Daniel, where craftsmanship and tradition go in
every puff. My journey began with a deep fascination for the fantastic history
and refined flavors of tobacco within the Caribbean. It started with an aspiration to
make it accessible, by translating it into a unique Nicaraguan twist.
My Journey
These trips through Cuba and the Dominican Republic's tobacco fields put me face-to-
face with their centuries-old traditions and techniques for making their cigars among the
world's best. Other than being a journey, it was their education in cigar making
from leaf to smoke.
My quest for the perfect blend took me to Estelí, Nicaragua, a hotbed of premium
tobacco. There, I met Raul Lanuza, a passionate upstart with a small factory nestled
in his grandmother's home. Raul had an immediate and deep knowledge and
background in the tobacco industry. His modest beginnings and dedication to quality
craftsmanship were admirable.
Our Collaboration
What began as a simple tour of Raul's humble factory would become an exciting
partnership. In love with the story and art of Raul, I requested naming the brand after him. Honored and flattered, Raul gave me his blessings to find the brand bearing his name - Raul Lanuza Bespoke Cigars by Daniel.
Our Cigars
At Raul Lanuza Bespoke Cigars by Daniel, we pride ourselves on making a cigar standing shoulder to
shoulder with the richness of Cuban and Dominican classics but with that certain unique
Nicaraguan twist. Every cigar is representative of our commitment to excellence through
the finest tobacco and craftsmanship, indeed assuring a very civilized smoke.
The band logo includes the "R" in honor of Raul, whose passion and knowledge in the
the tobacco-growing industry laid the foundation for my cigars. It also pays homage to
Robaina, my favorite Cuban cigar, recognizing traditions and excellence very
respectfully.
